Delayed

I've started my week with delays.
I woke up ... well, I'm not sure that's the right phrase. I think "achieved consciousness" might be better. While my alarm was set for 5:15 am, I only become aware of its existence at around 6:00 am. Luckily, I knew that I wouldn't be taking my regular bus, it being MLK day. So, I get down to the bus stop and wait outside in the cold, dark, windy parking lot for what I think is going to be my bus. When it doesn't come, I call the dispatcher and find out that it was moved back 15 minutes.
No - this was not communicated to anyone that I knew.
When the bus does arrive, I climb aboard, find my seat and get comfortable. In short order, I am asleep.
I do this everyday, so I'm not concerned.
However, today is a holiday and that means, among other things, lighter traffic.
When my internal chronometer wakes me up, I'm about a mile from my stop! Oh, well - time for a brisk morning walk.
I'm hoping that everything else will be on time today.
